PFRI Recognised for Environmental Leadership and Scientific Contribution
The Progyan Foundation for Research and Innovation (PFRI) was recognised in 2025 by the Society for Science of Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability (SSCE) with the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Environmental Leadership and Social Responsibility in the Institutional Category.
The award recognised PFRI’s contributions to environmental research, ecological conservation, and community-based approaches to biodiversity and climate resilience. The recognition was conferred during the National Workshop on “Synergising Carbon Credits and Agroforestry Models for Climate-Resilient Livelihoods” held at ICAR–Central Agroforestry Research Institute (CAFRI), Jhansi.
Dr. Malancha Dey, Director, PFRI, was also honoured with the Best Women Scientist Award 2025 in the Above 45 Years Category by SSCE for her contributions to Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, particularly in the areas of climate resilience, sustainability, and scientific innovation.
These recognitions reflect PFRI’s continued efforts to advance research-driven and community-centred approaches towards environmental sustainability and climate resilience.
