On World Environment Day 2026, the Progyan Foundation for Research and Innovation (PFRI) brought together young minds for a day of learning, creativity, and environmental awareness.
Senior scientists engaged with the children through an interactive session on the importance of the environment, highlighting the value of trees, rivers, biodiversity, and healthy ecosystems. The children expressed their understanding of nature through drawing and creative activities, reflecting their own perspectives on the environment.
The celebration concluded with every participating child taking a pledge to protect the environment. The programme reinforced a simple message: meaningful environmental action begins with awareness, grows through participation, and must be carried forward by the next generation.
