In the face of unprecedented challenges posed by rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, and extreme weather events in agriculture, traditional farming practices fall short of ensuring long- term food security. Recognizing the profound impact of climate change on conventional farming, the Progyan Foundation for Research and Innovation (PFRI) takes a leading role in advocating for climate-resilient float farming. By integrating climate-smart practices like drought- resistant crops, efficient water management, and eco-friendly pest control, PFRI ensures the resilience and sustainability of float farming. This work was initiated in Indian Sundarban and Purulia in West Bengal, Majuli Island in Assam, and Saharsa in Bihar.
