Green Audit
RegisterThe term ‘Green’ means eco-friendly or not damaging the environment. This can acronymically be called ‘Global Readiness in Ensuring Ecological Neutrality’ (GREEN). Green Audit can be defined as the systematic identification, quantification, recording, reporting, and analysis of components of the environmental diversity of an institute. Green accounting can be defined as the systematic identification quantification, recording, reporting and analysis of components of ecological diversity and expressing the same in financial or social terms. ‘Green Auditing’, an umbrella term, is known by another name ‘Environmental Auditing’.
The ‘Green Audit’ aims to analyse environmental practices within and outside the college campus, which will have an impact on the eco-friendly ambiance. It was initiated with the motive of inspecting the work conducted within the organizations whose exercises can cause risk to the health of inhabitants and the environment. Through Green Audit, one gets a direction as to how to improve the condition of the environment and various factors have determined the growth of carrying out Green Audit
An environmental audit is referred to as a ‘Green Audit’. Several facets of institutional and organizational operations are examined in this audit. An audit looks at how a company's activities affect the soil, water, or air. These audits help to prevent issues with compliance. The primary goal of the green audit is to encourage environmental management and conservation in an establishment. By the relevant laws, rules, and guidelines, the audit's objective is to identify, assess, analyze, and prioritize the framework for environmental sustainability. To nurture environmentally friendly management in academic institutions following objectives were formulated:
